Admission Policy

IBEX is a professional-only trade show specifically designed for those engaged in the marine industry. No one under 18 years of age—including infants—will be allowed into the seminars and exhibit halls.

Photography & A/V Recording Policy

Camera and video equipment are not permitted in the exhibit halls. The taking of photographs in the exhibition hall is strictly prohibited. You must have a press badge or have prior written approval to use a camera on the show floor. If you use a camera without permission, you will be escorted off the show floor and your badge will be confiscated.

Audio- or videotaping of IBEX sessions is strictly prohibited.

IBEX speakers and attendees are encouraged to openly discuss proprietary matters; therefore papers and/or extracts are not produced for IBEX seminars.

Exhibit Hall Badges

All qualified marine industry professionals are welcome to attend IBEX. There is no charge to walk the exhibit halls, but registration is required. Exhibit hall badges and seminar admission tickets will be mailed if you register online, or submit completed registration forms by fax or mail with applicable payments (for seminars) by September 18, 2009. If you register after September 18th, exhibit hall badges and seminar tickets must be picked up onsite at the IBEX pre-registration desks located in the lobby areas at the Miami Beach Convention Center.

Confirmations

Confirmation of your registration will be sent via email once your registration has been processed. If you do not receive confirmation please call the registration department at +1 484-625-4386.

Discounted Group Rate

Register as part of a group (three or more from the same organization) and receive a 10% discount off the total registration fee if registrations are received before September 9, 2009. Please send registrations and full payment together.

Exhibit Hall-Only Registrations

Register by September 18th and receive your free admission tickets to the exhibit hall via mail. After that date, please plan to register on site at the show.

Pre-Registration Deadlines

Register for Seminars EARLY & SAVE! —Pre-Registration Discount Deadline: September 9, 2009. Pre-registration before September 9th to receive up to $100 off a full-conference program, or $15. off individual conference sessions. After this date, please register on site at IBEX. Seating cannot be guaranteed without advance registration.

Seminar Policies

The on-site registration area will be open for seminar registration one hour prior to the first session on each show day.

  • Registration for the exhibit hall will be open at 7:30 a.m. each show day.
  • There will be a $15 charge for returned checks.
  • Purchase orders for sessions are accepted as a reservation only. Please provide payment September 8th to confirm your registration.
  • Discount offers cannot be combined.
  • Seminar registrants automatically receive an exhibit-hall badge. You do not have to register separately for an exhibit-hall pass.

Cancellation Policy

Refunds will be made for cancellations received no later than September 9, 2009; however they are subject to a $50 service charge. Cancellations must be received in writing and all badges/tickets must be returned before a refund can be processed. Cancellations made after September 18, 2009, and “no-shows” are subject to the full registration fee. No refunds will be made after the event. If you must cancel after September 18, 2009, you may send a substitute from your organization.

Changes

Changes to the official IBEX 2009 program content or schedules will be posted to the IBEX online trade show, www.ibexshow.com. Refer to the show web site frequently for updated IBEX information.

Seminar Speakers

The seminar speakers are leading professionals in the marine industry. Should a scheduled speaker be unable to attend, all efforts will be made to replace the faculty member with one of comparable experience and qualifications.

Tax Deduction

The 1986 Tax Code permits an income tax deduction for education expenses (registration fees, cost of travel, meals, and lodging) undertaken to 1) maintain or improve skills required in one’s employment, or 2) meet express requirements of an employer.
