Pitino began coaching in 1975, and has led many teams to big wins over his long career. Pitino is the only NCAA coach to have led three different teams to the Final Four, and he is the only NCAA coach to bring two of those teams to the NCAA Basketball Championship. Pitino is also a frequent motivational speaker, and the author of several books, including “Success is a Choice” and “Lead to Succeed."

The Innovation Awards are judged by seven judges from Boating Writers International who lend their expertise to the evaluation of the numerous new products.
All products entered for the 2013 Innovation Awards will be on display in the Innovation Awards display located at the back of Hall B.

Meet Josh Chiles
The Social Media Lounge will be managed by Josh Chiles, CEO and founder of Engaged!, a social media firm specializing in the marine industry. Josh is on the board of directors for the Marine Marketers of America (MMA) and currently writes a blog for Boating Industry magazine. Josh works closely with the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) and Discover Boating on a number of social media webinars. Josh has also been a speaker at the Marine Dealer Conference & Expo (MDCE) and at IBEX 2012, and a guest on ProBoat Radio. Josh will return to speak at the MDCE in November.

Gerry is a strategic marketing specialist with over 20 years of experience with some of the world’s most recognizable brands. Currently Director of Business Analytics with Lopez Negrete Communications, Gerry works with clients to unlock the value of the Hispanic consumer marketplace and connect brands with Hispanic consumers. Gerry has both client and agency side experience in Strategic Planning, Segmentation, Brand Management, Market Research, and Category Management. In his professional career, Gerry has worked in retail, banking, telecommunications, CPG and media. Currently he advises the Recreational Boating and Fishing Foundation on their Hispanic outreach efforts.
Gerry has lived in Mexico, Spain and the US and is a native speaker of both English and Spanish. Gerry received his BA from Northwestern University and has an MBA from the University of Virginia.

As Director of Consumer Insights and Planning at Lopez Negrete Communications, Ed Cantú's universe is the who, what, where, when, how, and why of the U.S. Hispanic market – as seen through the eyes of the Latino consumer. Ed's planning group serves as the "voice of the consumer" at the agency, and his experience mining deep insights into the U.S. Hispanic market prove time after time to be indispensable to their clients' bottom lines.
Ed believes his job is the perfect combination of philosophy and a discipline, a delicate balance of left brain, right brain, art and science. And, over the past 20+ years, partnering with some of the best people and brands in the world, it has also been Ed’s passion.
Ed has a solid track record as brand steward and creative catalyst in both the General Market and Hispanic spaces. While at Lopez Negrete, Ed is proud to have worked with teams winning numerous Ogilvy Awards for ad effectiveness and, most recently, a prestigious Mosaic Award for work on Dr Pepper. His blue chip clients at Lopez Negrete Communications also include brands like Bank of America, Walmart, Verizon, 7UP, SONIC and; nearest and dearest to his heart, the Recreational Boating and Fishing Foundation.
On a more personal note, Ed hails from the legendary Rio Grande Valley of Texas. He and his wife of 28 years have a 22-year-old daughter attending the University of Texas at San Antonio. Strong advocates for education, Ed and his wife have served as founding board members of the UTSA Parents Council. Ed is a frequent guest lecturer, having spoken to classes at the University of Texas, St. Edward’s University, Texas State and Sam Houston State.
Ed was a Barbara Jordan Scholar in the Master’s program at the L.B.J. School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas - Austin. He received an Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Fellowship from the Association for Public Policy and Management to attend Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. And, he holds a degree in Political Science from the University of Texas-Pan American.
